THE ESSENTIAL HOUSING® PROGRAM:
A TRANSFORMATIVE AFFORDABLE GREEN HOUSING PROGRAM:

New World Home is actively working with non-profit community development programs, financial institutions, and government agencies at the local, state, and national level to provide affordable green housing in areas of need through our Essential Housing® Program. This affordable green housing program directly benefits individuals and families in need by reducing energy bills and maintenance costs, and creating healthier indoor living environments.

 For our pilot program, New World Home recently partnered with Resources for Residents and Communities (RRC), a local non-profit community development organization located in Atlanta, GA to provide affordable green workforce housing to Atlanta’s historic neighborhoods. Resources for Residents and Communities is dedicated to supporting programs that strengthen the community and connect residents to resources for home purchase. This partnership is aimed at providing a number of services to the Reynoldstown Community in Atlanta:

  • Affordable green housing convenient to Atlanta’s public transportation:
  • Community focused homebuyer education
  •  Down payment assistance for qualified homebuyers
  • Post purchase education for sustainable homeownership

 

This project was initiated largely in response to a recent Memorandum of Understanding among the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in which they agreed to an unprecedented partnership to advance green, affordable, urban housing that is easily accessible to public transportation. The Essential Housing® Program supports the six principles of the Memorandum of Understanding:

  • Provide more transportation choices
  • Promote equitable, affordable housing
  • Enhance economic competitiveness
  • Support existing communities
  • Coordinate policies and leverage investment
  • Add value to communities and neighborhoods

Developer Relationship Program:
A solution for landowners and developers that control parcels of land to build residential subdivisions or master planned communities:

A solution for small to mid-size developers with individual parcels/ lots to build and sell NOGM homes in an exclusive territory

Preferred Realtor/Referral Program:
For Realtors/ Brokers that own property and/or control land listed for sale now have the opportunity to monetize these listings by leveraging the NWH turnkey NOGM platform. We also work with realtors who don’t directly control land. These realtors/brokers can take advantage of the NOGM home platform by networking available parcels of land with prospective homebuyers interested in building a NOGM home of their own.
